An uncovered 96-well format rack of internally threaded tubes precapped with a green TPE capmat

Micronic’s TPE capmats are available for both internally and externally threaded tubes. Compatible with the internally threaded 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, 1.40ml, 2.00ml, and 2.50ml 96-well format tubes and externally threaded 0.30ml, 0.40ml, 0.75ml, 0.80ml, 1.40ml, 2.00ml 96-well format tubes. The TPE capmat is a sheet of 96 caps with a fixed foil that can be used to seal a full rack of 96 tubes at once. Unlike tubes capped with a TPE capcluster, tubes capped with a TPE capmat cannot be individually removed from the rack—all 96 tubes are capped together.

Available in 8 different colors for the internally threaded tubes (natural, grey, yellow, red, pink, blue, light green, and black), for the externally threaded tubes it is available in the color natural. The TPE capmats are pierceable and available pre-split, sterile, and DNase/RNase free.

Product features

Multipiercable

The TPE capmats can be pierced repeatedly without losing seal integrity. They can be used to seal sample storage tubes in temperatures as low as -80°C.

Tube Compatibility

The TPE capmats are compatible with internally and externally threaded 96-well format tubes and are available in 8 colors: natural, grey, yellow, red, pink, blue, light green, and black. For the externally threaded tubes only the color natural is available.

Flexible Quantities

The TPE capmats can be purchased online in large packs of 240 mats. To order smaller packs of 40 mats, please contact our sales team.

Resistance

The TPE capmats resist chemical solvents. All caps are produced in a class 7 clean room and are RNase/DNase and Pyrogen free.

  • Material Thermo Plastic Elastomer
  • Cap height 4.8 mm
  • Temperature range -80°C to +100°C (without retaining foil)
  • Available sterile, gamma radiated, (15 kGy avg.) or Et0 treated
  • Available pre-capped on Micronic push cap tubes
  • Available with split septum to pierce with pipette tip
